My Journey from IT to Organic Skincare
See how I swapped 14 years of IT for organic farming. Here is the story behind my move to create clean, chemical-free skincare for my family and yours.
I had the pleasure of being interviewed on the 'Nari Jagat' program on All India Radio. In this clip, I talk about my journey from the IT world to starting an organic products business after becoming a mother.

About My Journey & Brand Story
People often ask if leaving a 14-year IT career to start a farm was a risk. For me, it wasn't; it was a necessity. When I became a mother, I couldn't find skincare that met my standards for 'safe,' so I decided to create it myself. Everything you see here, from our traditional sindoor to our cold-pressed soaps, is something I personally use. If you are curious about what’s in your current products or need advice on building a clean, toxic-free routine, just tap below and let’s talk.
From IT Professional to Organic Farmer
My transition from the corporate world to the fields of Baijnathpur was driven by one simple truth: I wanted to know exactly what was going on my skin. After 14 years in IT, becoming a mother shifted my priorities. I realized that many 'natural' products were just marketing; the labels were long, and the ingredients were unrecognizable.
Why 'Farm-to-Skin' Matters
At Arthlings, we don't just source ingredients—we grow them. My team and I cultivate botanicals without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. We process them using traditional methods like Deg-Bhabhka for rose water and cold-process techniques for our soaps. This isn't about mass production; it's about preserving the efficacy of the plants.
Our Commitments to You
- No Hidden Chemicals: You will never find parabens, sulfates, or artificial fragrances in our jars. We rely on pure essential oils and natural extracts.
- Small Batches: We make everything in limited quantities. This ensures freshness and allows us to maintain strict quality control.
- Empowering Community: Our work provides livelihoods to rural women in our village, turning skincare into a tool for community development.
Whether you are looking for a chemical-free sindoor that is safe for daily use or wondering why traditional cold-pressed soaps are better for your skin barrier, I am here to share what I have learned on this journey. My goal is to help you feel informed and confident about the products you choose to use every day.
Arthlings
I am Divya, and I believe skincare should be as honest as the food we eat. I spent 14 years in IT before corporate shortcuts just didn't sit right with me, so I went back to my roots to create Arthlings.
