When I am in the booth, I run a full Pioneer DJ Nexus setup, but the real control comes from how I read the room. I do not use pre-recorded sets; every transition is live, adapting to whether the crowd at a place like Kitty Ko wants deep, melodic grooves or peak-time techno pressure.
I treat every gig as a blank canvas. Whether I am performing an extended open-to-close set at a lounge or playing a tight peak-time slot, the focus is always on the mix. My technical rider is straightforward: I require industry-standard Pioneer CDJ 2000s or 3000s and a robust sound system with subwoofers because bass definition is non-negotiable for the melodic techno and afro house genres I play.
I have held residency spots and played guest slots across the Bangalore nightlife circuit—from the high-energy terrace at Kitty Ko to the open-air stages at venues like High Ultra Lounge. Being 'in the booth' is not just about the hardware; it is about the connection. I often incorporate live improvisation using Rekordbox to keep the flow organic and reactive.
