Standard Gypsum Partition (75mm)
Structure & Materials
- Framing: Fabrication of 50mm Galvanized Iron (GI) metal framework with vertical studs spaced at 600mm centers.
- Boarding: Installation of 12.5mm standard Gypsum boards on both sides of the metal frame.
- Finished Thickness: Approximately 75mm (3 inches) total wall thickness.
Surface Finishing
- Joint Treatment: Application of fiber mesh tape on all board joints to prevent cracking.
- Smooth Base: 2 to 3 coats of gypsum jointing compound applied over screws and joints, sanded to a smooth level.
- Status: The wall is handed over in a raw gypsum finish, ready for primer and paint.
On-Site Services
- Cutouts: Cutting openings for doors, windows, and switchboards as per layout (frames/wiring not included).
- Clean-up: Basic dry sweeping and bagging of gypsum waste.
Sound-Insulated Gypsum Partition
Acoustic Core
- Insulation: Cavity filled with high-density Rockwool or Glasswool slabs (minimum 48kg/m3) for sound absorption.
- Sealing: Acoustic sealant applied at floor and ceiling junctions to minimize sound leakage through gaps.
Structure & Build
- Framing: Heavy-duty 50mm Galvanized Iron (GI) stud system reinforced to hold insulation weight.
- Cladding: 12.5mm Gypsum boards screwed on both sides of the frame.
Surface & Finishing
- Jointing: Standard paper tape and jointing compound application on seams.
- Finish Level: Sanded smooth surface prepared for primer and paint application.
Site Execution
- Scaffolding: Includes basic ladder or stool scaffolding for ceilings up to 10ft.
- Debris Removal: Removal of insulation scraps and gypsum dust from the premises.
Designer Drywall & Feature Units
Complex Fabrication
- Design Framing: Intricate metal framing to create 3D depths, TV unit recesses, or geometric patterns.
- Lighting Prep: Creation of channels or coves for hidden LED strips and profile lights (hardware not included).
- Reinforcement: Plywood backing (6mm/12mm ply) in specific zones to support wall-mounted TV brackets.
Premium Finishing
- Surface Treatment: Full surface POP punning/skimming over the gypsum board to ensure a mirror-smooth finish.
- Edge Detailing: Precision corner finishing for niches and grooves using metal corner tapes for sharp 90-degree lines.
Scope & Exclusions
- Scope: Includes construction of false walls, floating shelves, or architectural cladding bases.
- Exclusions: Cost of LED strips, drivers, profile aluminum channels, electrical wiring, and final paint.
