Surface Preparation
- Joint Reinforcement: Application of fiber mesh tape on all board joints to prevent hairline cracks.
- Leveling: Application of 2-3 coats of acrylic wall putty (Birla White or equivalent) to hide screws and level the surface.
- Sanding: Hand or machine sanding to remove undulations for a smooth base.
Painting Specifications
- Priming: 1 coat of interior water-based cement primer to ensure adhesion.
- Finish Coat: 2 coats of Premium Acrylic Emulsion (Asian Paints Apcolite Premium or Dulux Super Cover).
- Shade: Standard Ceiling White or Off-White to maximize light reflection.
Execution
- Protection: Plastic sheet covering for existing flooring.
- Cleanup: Basic dry cleaning of floor drops post-completion.
Premium Designer Ceiling Painting
Detailed Preparation
- Groove Finishing: Putty filling and sanding inside narrow grooves and LED coves to ensure smooth light reflection.
- Sharp Edging: Creation of sharp 90-degree edges on steps and designs using metal corner beads and precise sanding.
Design Execution
- Color Scheme: Application of 2 or more contrasting colors.
- Masking: Use of precision masking tape to ensure straight lines with no color bleed.
- Metallic Accents: Application of Gold, Silver, or Copper metallic paint on borders or centerpieces.
- Cove Painting: Painting of inner ceiling trays to enhance LED strip glow.
Material Upgrade
- Paint Type: Washable Plastic Paint (Asian Paints Royale or similar high-sheen finish).
