From ATP Player to Coach: My Journey in Tennis
Tennis is a process, not a shortcut. After my pro career ended, I built this academy to provide the level of training I once fought to find. This is how I turned a personal setback into a mission for Indian players.
That smile says it all. Getting to see and even rally with my idol, Rafa Nadal, was a dream come true. This moment fueled my passion for tennis in a way I can't describe.
A legend's farewell. Rafa's impact on my life is immeasurable. From being selected for his promotional tour in India to later collaborating with the Rafa Nadal Academy, my journey has come full circle. Honored to have witnessed his greatness.
This is the Indian Tennis Revolution. My consultancy is a one-stop solution for everything a player needs, from coaching in India and Europe to university admissions, scholarships, and sponsorships. I design your journey from A to Z.
From a shy kid in Muzaffarnagar to an ATP speaker addressing 68 coaches. This journey has been about pushing past my limits. Mehnat aur immandaari se kaam karte raho toh ho he jaata hai!
Presenting on personalized plans at a GPTCA certification event. Sharing my knowledge on peak performance with other coaches is part of my mission to elevate the level of Indian tennis.
Addressing a group of coaches and players. My goal is to change the culture of Indian tennis from one that chases results to one that chases excellence through proper preparation.
Hosting a virtual session with the legendary coach Toni Nadal during a certification course. Learning from the best and sharing that wisdom with others is what Thirty40 is all about.
In deep conversation with GPTCA president Alberto Castellani. I believe in constantly learning and surrounding myself with people who share my passion for growing the sport.
A legend's farewell. Rafa's impact on my life is immeasurable. From being selected for his promotional tour in India to later collaborating with the Rafa Nadal Academy, my journey has come full circle. Honored to have witnessed his greatness.
My journey with Thirty40. A blood clot ended my dream of playing internationally, but it ignited a new desire to ensure no other Indian player faces the challenges I did. Now, I live my dream through my players.
About My Journey: From ATP Player to ATP Coach
When a blood clot ended my pro career, I didn't quit—I reinvented my approach. I’ve taken the intensity required for the ATP circuit and distilled it into a development system for Indian players, focusing on 'feel versus real' mechanics rather than just empty hitting sessions. If you are looking for someone to push you to your physical and mental limits, you are in the right place.
Building the Level, Not the Hype
My journey began in Muzaffarnagar with a simple dream: Grand Slam glory. I chased it until my body, not my ambition, gave out. Being forced to pivot from an ATP player to a coach was the hardest transition of my life, but it gave me a unique vantage point. Most academies in India focus on winning U-10 trophies or just hitting balls for hours. That isn't coaching; that’s just spending time on a court.
The Thirty40 Approach
I treat every student as a professional athlete in the making, regardless of their current age or level. Whether you are a beginner or a pro-circuit aspirant, my method relies on:
- Periodization: We don't train randomly. Every month has a specific physical and tactical focus.
- Technical Audit: Using video analysis to break down your stroke mechanics (RPM and swing speed) so we can see what's actually happening vs. what you think is happening.
- Mental Toughness: Acknowledging the pressure of competition and training you to handle it, not just the physical grind.
Why Collaborating with Legends Matters
It isn't just about my story. My collaboration with the Rafa Nadal Academy is a standard for my players. It brings European clay-court expertise and training methodologies directly to my academies in Delhi and beyond. When I speak about 'coaching the person, not the player,' I am applying the same principles I’ve gathered from interacting with legends like Toni Nadal and the GPTCA network.
I am not here for players looking for a hobby to pass time. I am here for those who want to be coachable, disciplined, and ready to put in the work. If you have the patience and the shiddat (passion) to build your game from the ground up, we should talk.
