Designing Community Spaces and Hospitality Projects

We create spaces that foster connection and community. Whether it is a school, a clubhouse, or a public center, we prioritize user experience and seamless integration with the natural landscape.

About this collection

When we approach large-scale hospitality or community projects, we avoid the monolithic 'single building' approach. Instead, we break the program into smaller, interconnected blocks with landscape running between them. This strategy creates a campus-like atmosphere, ensuring the space feels like a vibrant park where people naturally want to gather, rather than an intimidating, massive structure.

Architecture for community and hospitality is rarely just about the built form. It is about how the spaces between the buildings—the courtyards, the walkways, and the gardens—influence how people interact.

Designing for Connection

Our process starts by listening to the site. When we designed the Myhome Vipina Clubhouse in Hyderabad, the scale was significant (80,000 sq ft). Rather than designing a single tower, we treated it as a campus. We separated the functions into three distinct blocks, allowing the landscape to weave through the center. This turns the area between the buildings into the 'heart' of the project, mirroring a forest environment where people can relax and socialize naturally.

Human-Centric Institutional Design

Public buildings often fall into the trap of feeling cold or institutional. For the Nirbhaya Centre in Bengaluru, we worked to flip that perception. By using wide, welcoming staircases, warm materials, and integrated planters, we transformed a government facility into a space that feels safe and approachable. This project received a Commendation Trophy at the Indian Institute of Architects Nationals, validating our belief that public infrastructure can and should be designed with empathy.

Working with Tight Sites and Topography

Some of our most effective social spaces arise from constraints. At the Basil School in Hyderabad, we utilized the natural slope of the site to carve out a semi-basement food street. This hidden layer not only solves a circulation problem but also creates a social hub that connects directly to the central courtyard. Whether it is a school or a boutique guesthouse like 'The Leaf' in Poomala, our goal is always the same: to create a place that feels human, uses natural light effectively, and exists in harmony with the environment.
