Make your first Sankranti or your little one's 'bor nhan' ceremony truly special with my handmade halwyache dagine. I craft these traditional sugar-bead sets to match your look, whether you want classic white or a splash of vibrant floral color.

Sankranti is a special time, and I create matching 'halwyache dagine' or sugar bead jewellery for mothers and daughters. This set includes necklaces, headbands, and bracelets for beautiful coordinated photos.

About Sankranti Special: Halwyache Dagine

These sets are designed to be lightweight and comfortable for long festival rituals. Since I thread each piece by hand rather than gluing them, the jewellery is flexible and moves with you. I can customize the bead pattern and flower accents to match your specific saree color, whether it's the traditional black for Pahili Sankrant or something bright and playful for a child's bor nhan ceremony.

Celebrating Tradition with Halwyache Dagine

Sankranti is all about new beginnings, and wearing halwyache dagine (sugar bead jewellery) is a cherished Maharashtrian tradition. It is especially significant for newlywed brides celebrating their Pahili Sankrant (first Sankranti), but it has become a lovely way to dress up little ones for their bor nhan as well.

Customization for Your Outfit

I offer a variety of styles, from full traditional sets—including a necklace, bajuband (armlet), and kamarband (waist belt)—to delicate, simple hair accessories.

  • Classic White: The traditional look that goes perfectly with a black Sankranti saree.
  • Floral Accents: I often add hints of pink, yellow, or red flowers to make the white beads pop and match your outfit's colour palette.
  • Kids' Special: For children, I keep the design minimal and lightweight so they remain comfortable while playing during the festival rituals.

Why Hand-Threaded?

Because these are made from sugar beads, they can be delicate. I use a secure, hand-threaded technique (sui-dhaaga) rather than adhesives. This keeps the pieces durable enough for your photoshoots and puja rituals, and much more comfortable against the skin than standard costume jewellery.

If you have a specific colour scheme or a photo of your outfit, just share it when you message me. I love creating something that makes you feel ready to celebrate.
