About Paws & Props
I keep a small collection of bowties and tutus at my Haralur Road studio, but the best photos always come from the accessories you bring yourself. Whether it is their favourite chewed-up bowtie or that silly t-shirt they wear at home, these personal items act as a security blanket, helping your pet feel relaxed and allowing me to capture their genuine, happy energy.
Making the Most of Your Pet's Photoshoot
When we talk about 'Paws & Props,' it’s not about dressing your pet up in stiff, uncomfortable costumes. It’s about celebrating what makes them unique. My approach to pet photography in Bangalore is built around keeping things candid and stress-free.
Why Props Matter
Props are a fantastic bridge. A familiar accessory—like a favourite bandana or a holiday-themed bowtie—can help an anxious dog settle into a new environment. When a pet wears something they are used to, they tend to relax, which means less time 'posing' and more time playing. This is when I get those natural, candid pet portraits you’ll actually want to hang on your wall.
Studio vs. Outdoor Sessions
- Indoor Studio: My home studio on Haralur Main Road is quiet, air-conditioned, and distraction-free. It’s the perfect setting for shy puppies or pets who get over-stimulated easily. We can focus purely on expressions without the chaos of the outdoors.
- Outdoor Nature Sessions: If your pet has a lot of energy, we head to parks like Cubbon or Lalbagh. The greenery provides a beautiful backdrop for action shots, and the open space lets your dog run, jump, and show off their true personality.
Tips for a Successful Shoot
- Comfort First: If your pet doesn't like wearing hats or accessories, don't force it. We can work around that. A simple, colourful collar often does the trick just as well.
- Bring Treats: Never underestimate the power of a favourite snack! Bringing along the treats that make them sit and stay is the best way to get those focused close-ups.
- Golden Hour: If you choose an outdoor session, we plan around the morning or evening light to get those soft, vibrant colours that make fur texture pop.
Whether you are looking for simple dog photography or want to style a fun, thematic shoot, I am here to help you plan a session that feels like you.
