I believe functional surfaces should tell a story. Whether it is a kitchen backsplash or a glass partition, I design and apply custom art to transform ordinary materials into meaningful pieces for your home.

This bathroom wall is transformed into a work of art with bespoke ceramic tiles. The design, inspired by ancient Egyptian motifs, is printed in a classic blue and white palette, creating a luxurious and timeless look around the bathtub.

A detailed view of the Egyptian-inspired ceramic tile design. The intricate illustration of the chariot and horses adds a narrative element to the surface, showcasing the possibilities of custom tile printing.

The installation process of custom-printed ceramic tiles. Each tile is a piece of a larger picture, coming together to create a seamless mural of birds perched on olive branches.

The bird-themed ceramic tiles installed as a beautiful kitchen backsplash. This shows how custom art can be integrated into functional spaces, making them both practical and inspiring.

Art can tell powerful stories. This custom tile mural, depicting women in a cotton field, transforms a kitchen backsplash into a narrative piece, blending art history with everyday function.

A set of glass doors becomes a canvas for this stunning, minimalist horse illustration. The printed design adds an element of artistry and grandeur to the space while maintaining a sense of openness and light.

Another example of how my designs can be printed on different surfaces. This illustration of horses is applied to a glass door, creating a statement piece that is both functional and beautiful.

Here, I explain how I use ceramic tiles as a medium for my art. I can transfer custom patterns and designs onto these durable tiles, making them perfect for kitchens, outdoor spaces, and terrace gardens.

In this video, I discuss using glass as a surface for my bespoke designs. My prints can be applied to glass for use in furniture, as statement artwork, or as decorative panels, offering a unique way to personalize your space.

About Art on Unexpected Surfaces: Tiles, Glass & More

When I work with ceramic tiles, the layout is just as important as the painting. I treat every tile as a puzzle piece, ensuring the design flows seamlessly across joints so you get a continuous mural rather than a fractured image. This is exactly how we keep the art intact on kitchen backsplashes or bathroom walls.

For me, art should not stay trapped on a canvas. My studio focuses on printing and painting directly onto the surfaces you use every day, ensuring your home reflects your personality rather than following a catalog.

The Process

Everything starts with a conversation. Whether you have a specific heritage motif in mind or want to recreate a personal memory, I translate these ideas into digital illustrations that are ready for printing. For glass, we use high-resolution printing to add depth without sacrificing light, which is why it works so well for doors and partitions. For tiles, we use UV inks that bind to the ceramic, making them durable enough for high-traffic areas like kitchen backsplashes and even outdoor terrace walls.

Why Unexpected Surfaces?

I love the challenge of adapting a design to a specific material. For example, when I worked on the Egyptian chariot mural for a bathroom, we had to ensure the lines of the chariot aligned perfectly across the grout lines. It was a complex grid design, but seeing the finished mural brings a sense of history into a space that is usually just for utility.

What to Expect

We prioritize both aesthetics and function. Every print gets a protective top coat to handle scratches, and we make sure the material specifications match your environment, whether that is a steamy bathroom or a sunny kitchen. If you are looking to turn your glass doors or tiled walls into a piece of art, let's explore what patterns and stories we can bring to life.

I'm always juggling sketchbooks and paint tubes in my studio, but it is in that organized chaos that I find the best ideas. I love turning glass doors and tiles into narratives, so if you want your home to hold more than just furniture, let's talk about what we can create together.
