My Mehendi Artistry Process and Custom Sketches
I do not just apply mehendi; I design it. Take a look at how I draft patterns, perfect my lines, and sketch new motifs for your big day.
This video shows me creating a modern Arabic-style design. You can see how I build the pattern element by element, from the outline to the detailed shading inside.
Watch me at work applying a party-wear mehandi design. My focus is on creating clean lines and a balanced pattern for a beautiful result every time.
This video captures the process of creating a detailed peacock design. I pay close attention to every curve and line to ensure the final artwork is perfect.
A peek into my design book where I practice and create new patterns. This video shows sketches of traditional motifs like elephants, bells, and floral borders.
This is a design sketch from my practice book. I often draw out complex patterns like this one, featuring lotus flowers and peacocks, to perfect them before applying on a client.
About My Artistry: Process & Sketches
When I work, I treat your skin like a canvas. You will see me sketching out the flow of the design on paper first to check the spacing and symmetry. Whether it is a traditional peacock or a modern geometric pattern, I map out every element so there is no confusion once I start applying the henna. This ensures that the final result on your hands matches the vision we discussed.
My process starts long before the henna cone touches your skin. I believe that great mehendi is about planning and precision. Before any major event, I spend time in my design book sketching out motifs like lotuses, traditional bells, and intricate jaal work. This practice helps me keep my hand steady and allows me to show you exactly how the pattern will look.
Why a sketch matters
It removes the guesswork. If you have a specific bridal look in mind, or if you want me to incorporate family portraits, initials, or dates for a baby shower (Godh Bharai), I draw it out first. We can adjust the thickness of the lines or the complexity of the floral fillers until it feels right to you.
What goes into the application
I only use organic mehendi. It is free from chemicals, which is why I can offer a dark stain guarantee. For weddings in Mumbai or destination events across India, I maintain the same standard. My application technique involves clear outlines followed by detailed shading. I also apply a lemon-sugar sealant once the design is done to keep the henna moist, which helps in getting that deep, rich maroon colour that everyone wants.
Planning your booking
Since I travel to your home in Navi Mumbai and beyond, I always encourage a free trial for brides. This gives us a chance to test the stain on your skin and finalize the design on paper. Whether you need a simple Arabic trail or full-hand Rajasthani coverage, having a plan in place makes the wedding day stress-free.
