Custom Mehendi Design Sketches for Your Mumbai Celebration
Before the henna cone touches your skin, I map out every detail on paper. Here is how I plan my bridal and engagement designs to ensure everything looks just right.
I love practicing and exploring different mandala designs on paper. This sheet shows a few variations, from simple floral mandalas to more complex ones with space for personalization.
This is a concept sketch for a bridal hand, mapping out key elements. It includes a royal elephant under an umbrella, a lotus, and a doli, planning how they will fit together.
A full-hand sketch combining many of my favorite elements. I planned out the placement of peacocks, baby elephants, lotus flowers, and different fill patterns to create a cohesive design.
Here is another design concept on paper. This sketch helps me visualize the flow of the pattern across the hand, ensuring the peacocks, florals, and geometric fills work together harmoniously.
About Design Sketches & Concepts
Sketching helps me ensure the proportions are perfect for your hand size and style. When we plan together, I can tweak the placement of specific motifs like lotuses, peacocks, or elephants before we start, so there are no surprises on your big day.
My process is all about making sure your mehendi feels personal and intentional. By creating these concept sketches, I can experiment with layouts that traditional mehendi books simply cannot offer.
Why I Plan Before I Apply
- Perfect Placement: Every hand is different. Mapping out the flow of the design allows me to ensure motifs like elephants or bridal figures sit comfortably on your palm without looking crowded.
- Personal Touches: Whether you want to hide your partner's initials in a mandala or incorporate a specific date, planning this on paper ensures we get the placement right before the henna is applied.
- Design Harmony: Balancing a complex bridal design with elements like lotus vines, jaal grids, and traditional figures requires careful planning. These sketches help me visualize how these elements will sit together on your forearms or feet.
How We Can Collaborate
If you have a theme in mind, like a royal palace aesthetic or something simple and floral, let me know. I can create a unique concept for your bridal or engagement mehendi, incorporating the symbols that matter to you. This approach works best for brides looking for something truly custom, whether it is for a sangeet function or your wedding day. Once you are happy with the sketch, we can move forward with confidence, knowing exactly what the final result will look like on your skin.
