Baby Milestone Photography: The Sitter Stage

The sitter stage, usually between 6 and 9 months, is one of my favorite milestones to photograph. It is the moment when babies become little people, full of opinion, charm, and movement. Whether your baby is just mastering the tripod sit or is already crawling with lightning speed, this is the time to document their budding personality.

Why the Sitter Stage Matters

Your baby changes daily during these months. Sitting up creates a totally different dynamic than the newborn phase, allowing for more engagement, laughter, and eye contact. My goal is to capture the 'giggle-fest' that defines this age, rather than forcing stiff, unnatural poses. We use props like vintage wooden beds, macrame baskets, and soft fairy-light backdrops that emphasize your baby’s size and sweetness.

My Studio Approach

My Gurgaon studio in Sector 66 is designed specifically for babies. It is temperature-controlled and sanitized, creating a safe environment where your child can explore.

• Styling: I provide access to my studio wardrobe, including knitted rompers and lace bonnets, ensuring a timeless, fine-art look that doesn't date.
• Collaboration: I encourage parents to join in for a few shots. These family portraits are a highlight, showing the scale of your baby and the bond you share.
• Safety: Every prop used, from our rustic wooden swings to miniature chairs, is inspected for stability. Your baby’s comfort is the priority, which means if they need a feed or a snuggle halfway through, we take the time to reset.

After the session, you receive 15 to 20 high-resolution, professionally retouched images. These portraits are intended to be heirlooms, showing the shift from a dependent infant to a curious, active little human ready to explore the world.
