People see the stage lights, but I’m usually focused on the crowd’s energy before I ever step up. Here’s a peek at what happens when the mic is on and the real work begins.

A moment of quiet reflection. Even in the darkness, the lights of the stage and the stars remind me to be thankful for this incredible journey.

This is my usual work scene, full of energy and fun. I believe in ditching the old, boring methods and making every event, even a corporate one, an exciting experience.

About Behind the Mic

You might see polished stage photos, but my real work starts well before I step out. I don’t just walk onto a stage and start talking; I spend hours drafting questionnaires and coordinating with teams so that when I pick up the mic, I know exactly how to handle the room. If it is a corporate event, I prioritize keeping the flow sharp, making sure no one loses interest during the lulls between panel segments or transitions.

Hosting isn't just about sounding good—it is about managing the room. When I am on stage, whether at an IIT campus or a corporate conclave in Delhi, I am constantly scanning the crowd. If the energy dips, I have a repository of games and interactions ready to go. I don't rely on generic scripts because those usually fall flat. Instead, I mix Hindi and English to bridge language gaps and keep the vibe authentic.

My process for corporate gigs is rigorous. I handle deep-dive research into your guest speakers and the event's core themes to ensure my introductions and panel questions are relevant, not just surface-level. For festivals, the challenge is different—I focus on crowd management, ensuring the safety of the audience while keeping the 'josh' (energy) high. I have learned over the last six years that people do not remember the filler lines; they remember how they felt during the event. My job is to make sure that feeling is one of excitement and engagement. Whether you need a bilingual anchor who can handle a 10,000-person festival or a sharp moderator for a high-stakes business panel, I adapt my style to fit the venue and the crowd.

I’m Amisha, and for me, the mic isn’t just a tool—it’s how I connect. I left my small-town roots in Haridwar to chase the buzz of Delhi’s stages, and now I bring that same electric energy to every gig, whether it’s a high-stakes corporate conclave or a massive campus concert.
