About this collection
I don't just walk on stage with a generic list of questions. For every panel or fireside chat, I invest time in deep speaker profiling—studying your panelists' recent work, industry history, and the specific narrative you want to build. This helps me bridge the gaps between speakers and create a dialogue that feels spontaneous and relevant rather than rehearsed.
Great panel moderation is about active listening. My job isn't to be the star, but to draw out the expertise of your guests so the audience feels included in the conversation. When I moderate, I focus on three pillars:
1. Pre-Event Research
Before the lights go up, I study your session brief to understand the 'why' behind the conversation. I map out the expertise of each panelist to ensure we avoid repetitive answers and keep the discussion moving.
2. Live Flow Management
Panels can get stiff or go off-track quickly. I use my experience from hosting everything from IIT Bombay summits to corporate conclaves to steer the conversation back to the key takeaways. If a speaker is quiet, I invite them in. If someone is dominating, I gently pivot to balance the stage.
3. Audience Connection
An engaging fireside chat happens when the crowd feels like part of the group. I use interactive techniques and clear, articulate questioning to translate complex industry jargon into relatable insights.
Whether you are hosting an intimate fireside chat with a CXO or a large-scale industry panel, I ensure your event flow is tight, professional, and full of energy. My goal is to make sure your audience walks away with the story you intended to tell.
