Russian Manicure & Natural Gel Overlay
Preparation
- Assessment of natural nail health to select the correct base product.
- Russian dry process using electronic file and diamond bits to lift and remove cuticles.
- Buffing of nail plate followed by dehydrator and acid free primer application.
Application
- Structural overlay using Rubber Base or Soft Gel Builder (BIAB) to add strength and a slight apex.
- 2 coats of premium gel polish in a solid color of your choice.
- Finished with a high gloss or matte tempered top coat.
Technical Detail
- Color applied deep under the proximal fold for a clean look that hides regrowth longer.
- Strictly for natural nails; no tips or glue used.
Sculpted Gel Extensions (Solid Color)
Architecture
- Includes full Russian manicure prep for adhesion.
- Application of paper forms under the free edge to customize the C curve and fit.
- Sculpting using Hard Gel or Polygel to correct nail architecture.
- Extensive manual filing to achieve shapes like Almond, Coffin, or Square.
Finishing
- Surface refining to ensure the extension is smooth.
- Solid Gel polish application (no art included).
- Correct apex placement to prevent breakage during daily tasks.
Correction
- Visual correction of crooked fingers or wide nail beds using pinching techniques.

Healthy nails matter more than just fancy polish. I’m certified internationally, and I obsess over both technique and nail health. Russian manicure technique is my go-to for super clean, long-lasting gel nails. If your nails are brittle or broken, I can fix them or do nail extension for brittle nails - you’ll see the difference.
