About Milestones & Memories: From Sitter to First Birthday
I often recommend booking your sitter session between 8 and 10 months. This is when your little one is usually sitting up confidently, engaging, and full of expressions, but not yet running off too fast. It is the sweet spot for capturing those curious, happy personality traits before they become too mobile for the posed, artistic scenes I like to create.
My studio in Jakkur is designed to be a calm space where we can create without the rush of a typical studio environment. I take fewer sessions so I can pour my soul into every shoot, treating each frame like a piece of art rather than a quick snapshot.
Why the Sitter Stage Matters
Between 8 and 10 months, babies change rapidly. They go from tummy time to sitting, then crawling, and finally, standing. This is my favorite stage because their personality really starts to shine through—the toothless grins, the inquisitive looks, and those tiny hands exploring props. I use a mix of soft, natural textures, boho-inspired setups, and, if you like, traditional Indian touches, to ensure the photos feel authentic to your family.
The First Birthday Experience
When it comes to first birthday milestones, I keep it about the child. Whether we are doing a cake smash or a styled shoot with vintage props, the focus remains on their joy. I provide the wardrobe and handle all the styling, so you don't have to worry about the logistics. We move at your baby's pace. If they need a break, we take one. If they are happiest when crawling away from the setup, that’s where we get the best, most genuine images.
My Painterly Approach
My photography is rooted in my background as a painter. I look for color palettes, composition, and light that evoke a feeling of nostalgia. You aren't just getting digital files; you are getting high-end, retouched images that look like fine art. Whether it is a spring-themed session with bougainvillea or a minimalist setup with simple knits, every detail is intentional. This is a collaboration. We will discuss your vision, the color palette, and the final look well before the shoot date.
