About Bracelets, Kadas & Rings
When I design a kada or bracelet, the hinge and clasp mechanism is usually where most jewellers cut corners. I don't. Whether it's an Akoya pearl bracelet that doubles as a choker or a heavy ruby-studded kada, I focus on the articulation so the piece moves with your wrist, not against it. It needs to feel fluid and comfortable, not stiff.
Beyond the Stock Design
Most jewellery you find in stores is made to fit a generic mould, often compromising on the very thing that makes a bracelet comfortable—its movement. My approach at Amarkosh is different. When we work on a custom kada or ring, I look at the ergonomics. How does it sit on your hand? How does it move? If it is a heavy statement piece, we ensure the weight is distributed so it doesn't rotate or slide annoyingly when you wear it.
My Process
- 18k Gold & Rare Stones: I source high-quality 18k gold and genuine gemstones. Whether you want a ruby-studded bangle or a sleek diamond ring, we prioritize material integrity.
- Heirloom Restoration: Many clients come to me with old family gold. We don't just melt it down for cash. We redesign it, keeping the emotional value intact while giving the piece a modern, wearable aesthetic.
- The Studio Experience: We work from our studio in Girgaon, Mumbai. I prefer a one-on-one session because it allows us to discuss your preferences, your lifestyle, and your specific requirements without the rush of a retail counter.
