About Statement Necklaces & Pendants
I do not do mass-produced stock. When I design a pendant, I look for ways to make it functional. Some pieces use hidden magnets that allow you to change the shape, transforming a simple circle into a linear design. It is jewellery made for movement, not for a display case.
My work starts with a simple conversation at my studio in Girgaon, Mumbai. We do not have a catalog of thousands of identical items because I believe jewellery should be individual. Whether we are using high-grade Zambian emeralds, rubies, or natural diamonds, every piece is shaped by hand.
You might notice some of my necklaces feature complex, articulated joinery. This is intentional. I want my jewellery to sit perfectly against your collarbone, moving with your body rather than sitting stiffly.
Why choose handmade over machine-cast? Machines create uniformity, but they lack soul. When I set a stone, I am thinking about how the light hits it in real life, not just how it looks in a 3D render. If you are looking for a pendant or necklace that acts as an asset for your future generations, you need to understand the mechanics behind it. My process includes detailed discussions on gold weight, stone quality (VS/SI diamonds, GH color), and longevity.
