Featured Family and Bridal Outfit Designs
A look at my favourite family ensembles and custom bridal designs created for special moments in Bengaluru.
I had the pleasure of designing this complete family look for a special ceremony. We chose a beautiful green and pink theme, creating a custom langa voni for the daughter and a smart sherwani with a dhoti for the son, perfectly complementing the parents' elegant silk attire.
Another beautiful family portrait, this time in a vibrant yellow and green palette. I designed these coordinated outfits for a wedding, ensuring everyone from the parents to the children felt connected and stylish in their custom ethnic wear.
There is nothing more special than designing for a mother and her daughter on a wedding day. Here, I created custom blouses for both the beautiful bride and her mum, ensuring their looks were harmonious and elegant for the big celebration.
A gorgeous mother-daughter duo. While their Banarasi sarees are different, I designed their blouses to create a subtle coordination, proving that family outfits do not always have to be identical to be perfectly in sync.
For this lovely couple's wedding ceremony, I designed coordinated outfits in classic cream and gold Kanjivaram silk. The goal was to create a timeless and elegant look that symbolized their new beginning together.
A closer look at the bride's stunning pink Kanjivaram saree, elevated by a custom-designed red blouse with intricate gold embroidery. This is how I bring a touch of designer-inspired drama to a traditional South Indian bridal look.
About Featured
Every outfit I design starts with a conversation about your family's unique bond, not just a size chart. Whether we are matching fabric colours to your Kanjivaram or hand-embroidering a blouse to match a daughter's lehenga, the focus is always on a comfortable, unified look that feels like you.
These featured images represent the core of what I do at my Basaveshwar Nagar studio. My process relies on heavy Maggam work using Zardosi and antique gold beads to ensure each piece has that signature AMAIRA touch. When working on family ensembles, I personally oversee the fabric sourcing for men and children to ensure the colours grade perfectly with the mother's main saree.
How I Structure Your Look
- Fabric and Coordination: For families, I often dye or source Art Raw Silk, Cotton Silk, or Tussar blends so the men and children complement the main ethnic wear perfectly.
- Technical Details: I use double lining and can-can mesh for lehengas to get the right volume, and stiff collar fusing for sherwanis so they look crisp all day.
- Custom Touches: From Princess-cut blouses to canvas-reinforced collars for dads, every detail is considered for both style and ease of movement during long events.
If you have a wedding, puja, or a photoshoot coming up, I would love to walk you through how we can coordinate your family's style while keeping it distinct for each person. You do not need to choose identical outfits to look connected; often, a shared colour palette or complementary border embroidery does the trick beautifully.
