I’ve been doing mehendi for years, and honestly, it’s a big part of every festival for me. Festivals like Karwachauth, Teej, Navratri, Dohale Jevan, and Rakhi are not just dates on the calendar - they’re moments for art and memories. I always say, san aanandacha, san urjecha, san shubh sankalpancha! (Festival of happiness, festival of energy, festival of good resolutions!) Mehendi is how I celebrate with you.
What I Do Different
I don’t just doodle random patterns. My thing is telling a story with your mehendi. If it’s Karwachauth, I can create classic scenes - woman with the chhalni and moon, or full-on Karwachauth themed mehendi. For baby showers, I love drawing baby figures, prams, even Marathi touches like “Kuni yenar ga” (Who’s coming?) right in the design. Navratri?
