Basketball Journey: The Grind Behind the Game
Basketball isn't just about the trophies; it's about the hours put in. Here is a look back at where I started and the teams that shaped my approach to coaching.

About this collection
These aren't just old photos; they are the blueprint for how I train you today. When you look at these outdoor courts in Malleshwaram, you are seeing where I learned that you do not get better by being comfortable. Every session I run now, whether it is 1-on-1 or a performance batch, is designed to replicate that same level of accountability and grit—because if you are not sweating, you are not training.
Why The History Matters
I didn't start my basketball career in an air-conditioned gym. I started on the hard, outdoor courts of Bengaluru, playing for Bharath Sports Union. This is where I learned that basketball is a contact sport, not a video game. You learn how to finish through a defender's reach when you are playing outside and the surface is unforgiving.
Turning Experience into Coaching
My coaching style is a direct result of these years. I am a firm believer that you cannot teach what you have not lived. When I push you to do extra sprints because you missed a shot, it is because that is exactly how I was held accountable in tournaments. I am not interested in spoon-feeding drills that look good on camera. I am interested in building players who can actually compete.
What You Get Out Of It
When you join my sessions, you get more than just a ball in your hand:
- Bio-mechanical Correction: We fix your movement patterns first. If you move like a robot, you get injured. If you move like an athlete, you stay on the court.
- Real-Game Conditioning: We do not just run laps. We focus on situational drills and finishing through contact.
- Accountability: If you are sleeping on defense or lazy with your reps, I will call you out. We are here to work, not to socialize.
Whether you are an aspiring athlete looking for a competitive edge or a parent wanting your kid to develop discipline, I bring the same intensity to every session. You show up, you listen, and you put in the work.
Akshay Prasad S
I am Akshay, and these photos are where my obsession with this sport began. I have spent years grinding on outdoor courts and playing at the national level, which is exactly why I do not coddle my students. I know what it takes to get to the top because I have lived it.
