Signature Jaal, Lotus, and 3D Mehndi Patterns
I specialize in these 3D shading techniques and intricate jaal patterns to give your bridal mehndi depth and detail that stands out in every photo.
This back-of-hand design is a perfect example of my signature work, combining a lotus-filled jaal pattern with detailed finger designs.
Watch how I use shading techniques to create a 3D effect, making the petals of the flower appear to lift off the skin.

This video shows the creation of a 3D jaal pattern, where each intersection of the net is adorned with a raised floral bud.
A unique take on the jaal pattern, this design features leaf motifs inside a diamond grid, creating a rich, textured look.

About this collection
For these 3D and jaal designs to really pop, the henna must be absolutely pure. I make my own natural herbal paste, which stains deep and crisp, allowing for those fine, sharp lines in the net work and the subtle shading that gives the lotus motifs their dimension. If you choose these styles, we will spend a bit more time on the detailing to get that clean, structured look you see here.
The 'jaal' pattern is a classic, but the real art is in the execution. It creates a beautiful, cohesive backdrop that connects the entire arm, but the beauty lies in how you fill it. Whether we go for a lotus inside each square or a more minimalist leaf, the consistency of the henna is key.
My 3D effect isn't just about drawing; it’s about shading. I use specific pressure techniques to create a sense of volume, making the flowers look like they are sitting on top of the skin rather than just drawn on it. This style requires a steady hand and a good understanding of how the stain will develop.
If you are planning to book these for your wedding, here is what you should consider:
- Placement: These patterns work best on the back of the hands and the full arm, where there is enough surface area for the design to breathe.
- Customization: We can mix a traditional jaal with modern portrait elements. You do not have to choose just one style.
- Trials: Since these are detailed patterns, I offer a home trial across Delhi NCR. This is the best way to see how the design looks on your specific hand size and skin tone before the main day.
These are not one-size-fits-all designs. During our initial conversation, I will ask about your outfit and the jewelry you plan to wear. We can tweak the thickness of the lines or the complexity of the lotus motifs to ensure the mehndi complements your look rather than overwhelming it.
