About this collection
South Indian weddings are full of fast-paced rituals that leave little time to pause. You might be deep in the middle of a Kashi Yatre or Saptapadi and forget that someone is watching, but those are the specific moments I aim to preserve. My focus is on the quiet, nervous glances you share when the crowd gets loud, and the traditional details that make your family heritage unique, rather than just lining everyone up for group portraits.
Photography in a traditional setting requires understanding the rhythm of the day. Whether it is a Karavali Karnataka wedding with its distinct temple rituals or a grand Bangalore reception, I ensure the camera is in the right place before the key moment happens.
My approach balances two distinct styles. I use candid photography to capture the unscripted emotion—the laughter, the happy tears, and the children playing in the background. Simultaneously, I use cinematic techniques to record the sanctity of the vows, ensuring the lighting and angles do justice to the vibrant silk sarees, the intricate jewellery, and the mandap decor.
I believe the best images come from a relaxed environment. I do not ask you to hold a pose for hours. Instead, I guide you through the process, helping you feel natural even when the camera is close. By the time the event ends, you will have a complete story—from the morning Muhurtham to the final reception dance-offs—that captures the day exactly as it felt.
AJ Picture Company
Born between Udupi rituals and Bangalore parties, my team and I at AJ Picture Company capture weddings without turning them into a staged production. We like the messy, honest stuff—the way your hands shake during the ring exchange or the shared laugh when the priest says something funny. We're here to tell your story, not just record the schedule.
