About Multi-Color Bougainvillea Trees
These are not several plants potted together to create the illusion of variety. We graft 4 to 6 different Bougainvillea scions onto a single, twisted rootstock trunk. This allows us to produce a dense, mushroom-shaped canopy that blooms in red, pink, orange, white, and purple simultaneously from one base.
How Our Multi-Color Bougainvillea Are Grown
We maintain strict control over our grafting process. By using mature rootstock, we ensure a strong, thick trunk that can support the heavy canopy of a multi-grafted specimen. Each tree is pruned continuously to shape the canopy into a dense, uniform mushroom form that maximizes floral output.
Care Requirements for Maximum Blooming
Bougainvillea are sun-loving plants. For these multi-colored specimens to bloom in all colors simultaneously, they require full, direct sunlight for at least 6 to 8 hours a day. We pot them in a specialized, porous soil mix designed to trigger stress-induced blooming.
- Watering: Allow the topsoil to dry out significantly between waterings. Overwatering leads to lush green leaves but fewer flowers.
- Maintenance: To maintain the tight geometric canopy, clip back new growth every 3 to 4 weeks during the active growth season. This keeps the shape sharp and encourages the plant to put energy into flower production rather than erratic branching.
Delivery and Installation
These trees are established in heavy-duty commercial plastic tubs, which provides the necessary stability to prevent the canopy from tipping in high winds. We manage the logistics for delivery across Bengaluru. Because these are mature specimens with significant root mass, we ensure they are loaded and transported safely to prevent damage to the grafts or the delicate canopy. You will receive clear instructions on fertilizer application and controlled watering upon delivery to keep your tree blooming throughout the season.
