Media Features and Legal Recognition
My journey from teacher to advocate has been driven by one goal: making the law accessible. These media features are milestones in my mission of legal empowerment.
I was featured on 'India's Business Legends' to share my journey from being a teacher to founding my own law firm. I hope my story inspires other women to pursue their passion, especially in law.
In this interview clip, I talk about the positive change I've seen with more women joining the legal profession. It's heartening to see the number of female lawyers growing, making their mark in a traditionally male-dominated field.
Featured as an 'Unstoppable NariShakti' for my work with the Reet Foundation in spreading awareness about the legal rights of women.
"Spread your wings and fly high." It was a pleasure to be featured in Womanpreneur magazine and share my story.
An excerpt from my feature story in Womanpreneur magazine, where I talk about how my personal experiences motivated me to start the Reet Foundation.
Another page from my magazine feature, discussing the challenges of working in a patriarchal society and the need for women to be aware of their legal rights.
The full spread of my interview in Womanpreneur magazine. Sharing my journey is a way to encourage others to find their voice and purpose.
The cover of the September 2023 issue of Womanpreneur magazine, where I was featured among other inspiring women.
A Hindi newspaper clipping about a training program I conducted on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, organized by the District Legal Services Authority.
Another press mention of the POSH Act training workshop in Gurugram, highlighting the importance of making workplaces safer for women.
About Media Features & Recognition
Whether I am discussing the POSH Act on India News Haryana or sharing my career pivot in Womanpreneur, the goal remains the same: demystifying the law. These platforms help me bring 'bahut saral bhasha' (very simple language) to a wider audience, proving that you do not need a law degree to understand your basic rights.
The law can feel like a maze, especially when you are already dealing with a crisis. I spent years as a teacher before moving into the legal profession at 37, and that experience taught me how to explain complex rules in simple, actionable terms. My media appearances allow me to reach women who might otherwise feel intimidated by the legal system. When I talk about my Reet Foundation or the work we do with the GurgaonMoms community, I am trying to show that justice is not just for the elite; it is for everyone. From 'Hum Mahilaye' conclaves to magazine interviews, I use these opportunities to highlight the reality of domestic violence laws, child custody, and workplace safety. These features are not just about me; they are proof that public awareness about rights is growing. If you have questions about how these laws apply to your specific situation, I am here to help you navigate them with clarity.
Ritu Kapoor
I jumped into the legal field at 37, leaving a teaching career to fight for women who felt lost in legal jargon. My goal is to explain the law in 'bahut saral bhasha' so you feel empowered, not intimidated, when handling your own legal battles.
