Bridging the Gap Between Classroom and Courtroom

Many students approach law with romanticized notions of courtroom drama. My objective is to bridge that gap with reality. When I address students, I strip away the jargon and focus on what a legal career actually entails—the rigorous research, the drafting, and the intense preparation that happens long before a case ever reaches a judge.

Why Legal Awareness Matters

I don't limit my outreach to law students. Legal literacy is a life skill. In these sessions, I discuss:

• Law as a Career: Navigating the path from LLB to practice, and understanding the difference between corporate advisory and courtroom litigation.
• Rights and Responsibilities: Demystifying the Indian legal framework so students are aware of their rights early, preventing them from falling into common legal traps later in life.
• The Reality of Litigation: Sharing my experience from the Supreme Court to local tribunals to show that advocacy requires immense patience and strategic planning.

Interactive Learning

These sessions are designed to be Q&A heavy. I encourage students to ask the difficult questions—about justice, the ethics of the profession, and how to handle the inevitable challenges of the legal field. My goal is to foster a sense of 'justice awareness,' ensuring that regardless of whether they choose law as a profession, they move forward as informed, conscious citizens who understand that the law exists to protect those who understand it.
