Trade the city routine for the highest mountain passes. We take you from the bustling streets of Manali deep into the rugged, silent beauty of Spiti Valley.

Our group on the first day of our Manali-Spiti adventure, with the cloud-covered Himalayan foothills in the background. This is the start of an unforgettable journey.

Posing by a bridge over the Beas River in Manali. The raw beauty of the Himalayan landscape is a constant companion on this trip.

Enjoying the view from our hotel balcony in Old Manali. We choose stays that offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

About Epic Himalayan Expeditions

The road from Manali to Spiti is high-altitude, so we prioritize slow acclimatization to keep altitude sickness at bay. You will spend long days on the road in our group, so expect plenty of music, shared snacks, and impromptu photo stops, but come prepared for rugged terrain and limited mobile connectivity.

Our Himalayan expeditions are not about ticking off boxes. We focus on the journey itself—crossing the Kunzum and Rohtang passes, watching the landscape shift from lush green forests to barren, moon-like high-altitude deserts.

Why we do it this way

We keep our group sizes intimate so everyone gets to know each other. Most people arrive as solo travelers and leave as part of a tight-knit family. We handle the 4x4 permits, homestay arrangements, and oxygen cylinder logistics so you can focus on the view.

What to expect on the trail

  • Acclimatization: We build in extra buffer time because the altitude is no joke. Taking it slow is the only way to really enjoy the vistas.
  • The Stay: Forget luxury hotels. We stay in local homestays and guesthouses. Expect basic comforts, authentic local food, and the best stargazing you have ever seen.
  • The Terrain: Roads can be rough and weather is unpredictable. This is a real adventure, not a sightseeing tour. Bring your sturdiest boots and a flexible attitude.

Whether it is spotting a snow leopard in the distance or just sharing a cup of chai in a remote village, these moments are what keep us coming back to the mountains every season.
