Weekend Mountain Treks from Bangalore
We leave Bangalore Friday night and return Sunday, taking you through the misty peaks of the Western Ghats. It is all about fresh air, hidden trails, and meeting your next best friends on the road.
A moment of quiet reflection above the clouds during our Chikmagalur trip. The views from the top of the Western Ghats are truly something else, making every step of the climb worth it.
Our tribe on top of the world in Chikmagalur. This is the reward after a challenging and beautiful trek through the hills. The sense of accomplishment and the shared joy is what makes these group adventures so special.
Getting there is half the adventure. We often take off-road jeep rides to reach the most remote and beautiful trailheads in places like Coorg and Chikmagalur, adding an extra layer of thrill to the journey.
Taking a break to soak in the incredible scenery at Netravati Peak. The trek offers panoramic views of rolling green hills, often covered in a blanket of fog, creating a truly mystical atmosphere.

The fog rolling in over the hills in Chikmagalur creates a magical and mysterious vibe. Our trekkers enjoying the cool mountain air and the feeling of being in the clouds.
Standing on the rocky outcrops of a Chikmagalur peak, feeling the wind and admiring the vast landscape below. These are the moments of connection with nature that we seek on every trek.

About Weekend Mountain Treks
When you join these treks, expect a shared travel experience from start to finish. We use 12-seater Tempo Travellers, so you will be spending the journey getting to know your group before we even hit the trailhead. Keep in mind that we stick to authentic, dormitory-style homestays in coffee estates, which means you will be sharing space with your group—perfect if you are there to socialize, less so if you need total solitude.
How Our Weekend Treks Work
Most of our trips follow a simple, tested rhythm. We depart from Bangalore on Friday night, giving you just enough time to wrap up your work week. By Saturday morning, we are usually at a base camp in places like Chikmagalur or Coorg, ready to start the climb.
We prioritize trails that offer a mix of physical activity and scenic rewards—think Mullayanagiri or the Netravati Peak. These aren't just about reaching the top; they are about the slow walk, the fog-covered hills, and the tea breaks in between.
Where You Stay and Eat
We don't do luxury resorts. Instead, we partner with local homestays. You’ll be staying in dormitory-style or multi-sharing rooms, which is how we keep the community vibe going. It is basic, clean, and comfortable.
Meals are simple, local vegetarian fare—rice, sambar, and palya—served at base camps or roadside eateries. If we are camping, it’s usually tents with sleeping bags.
What You Need to Know
- The Group Dynamic: You will likely be traveling with strangers, but that is the point. We design these trips for solo travelers and small groups to mingle.
- The Itinerary: Expect a mix of trekking, temple visits, and waterfall stops. We do not run a military-style schedule; we leave room for spontaneous moments.
- Physicality: These are beginner-to-moderate treks. If you can walk for a few hours and enjoy nature, you are fit enough to join.
Everything—transport, forest permits, stay, and food—is handled by us. Just pack your backpack, wear comfortable shoes, and bring an open mind.
