From the glossy drip of a warm waffle to the intricate layers of a traditional Indian sweet, I capture desserts in a way that makes your audience crave a taste. Whether it is a bright cafe menu or a moody fine-dining plated dessert, my focus is on texture, light, and the story of your bake.

A short video capturing the perfect slice being lifted from a rich chocolate and strawberry cake. Stop-motion and video are fantastic ways to show the texture and layers of a dessert.

The moment of anticipation as rich chocolate sauce is poured over a freshly made waffle. Action shots like this are designed to make you hungry instantly.

A lavish spread of desserts, including waffles, cheesecake, brownies, and a strawberry milkshake. This kind of "table escape" shot is perfect for showcasing the variety a dessert parlor offers.

A flat lay of traditional Indian desserts like jalebi and ghevar, styled with brass plates and a dark wood background. This moody, festive shot evokes a sense of celebration and rich flavor.

A perfectly plated slice of burnt Basque cheesecake with a side of ice cream and berry coulis. The clean, bright styling makes this dessert look both elegant and delicious.

A beautiful outdoor setup for a Valentine's Day collection of cakes and cupcakes. The natural greenery and soft lighting create a romantic and whimsical atmosphere for this bakery photoshoot.

The final result of a chocolate-drenched waffle. This image focuses on the finished product, looking glossy and ready to eat.

About this collection

I do not just click plates. When shooting desserts, I focus on the hero moment, that precise second when sauce drips perfectly or a cake slice reveals its crumb structure. We coordinate on the small details, like plate cleanliness and garnish placement, to ensure the final image looks as tempting as the food actually tastes in your kitchen.

Dessert photography is a game of patience and anticipation. My approach goes beyond taking a standard menu shot; I look for the 'katha' (story) within the ingredients. If I am shooting a cheesecake for a client in Ahmedabad, I am looking for the perfect angle that captures that specific, crumbly texture of the crust and the way the jam topping catches the light.

My Process

  • Styling for Texture: I use macro lenses to capture granular details like sugar dust, salt grains, or the precise layer of a pastry. This is crucial for making desserts stand out on a menu or delivery app.
  • Lighting Control: For cafes, I lean towards bright, natural light that makes pastries look fresh. For fine-dining desserts, I prefer a 2 or 3-point strobe setup to create moody, dramatic shadows that highlight the architecture of the plate.
  • The 'Hero' Shot: We plan the shoot around your best-sellers. We will work on the action shots, like a syrup pour or a slice being lifted, which are the most effective images for grabbing attention on social media.

Whether you are a home baker needing a consistent visual style for your Instagram or a restaurant looking to refresh your dessert menu, we start with a conversation. We discuss the vibe, pick the props from my collection, and build a shot list that covers everything from hero dishes to macro texture shots.

Hi, I am Kruti. I call myself the Chief Eating Officer because I believe you have to love food to photograph it properly. My mission is simple: to make sure that whether it is a chocolate-drenched waffle or a delicate rasmalai, your desserts stop customers mid-scroll.
