Dessert photography is a game of patience and anticipation. My approach goes beyond taking a standard menu shot; I look for the 'katha' (story) within the ingredients. If I am shooting a cheesecake for a client in Ahmedabad, I am looking for the perfect angle that captures that specific, crumbly texture of the crust and the way the jam topping catches the light.
My Process
- Styling for Texture: I use macro lenses to capture granular details like sugar dust, salt grains, or the precise layer of a pastry. This is crucial for making desserts stand out on a menu or delivery app.
