Welcome to my messy, happy plant corner! Whether you have a tiny balcony or just a sunny windowsill, you can grow your own green heaven. No fancy tools, just basic hacks to get you started. 🌿

This video shows a simple but effective method to revive a droopy plant. Just add water and gently till the compacted soil to improve aeration for the roots.

A tutorial on how I propagate turtle vine cuttings in a reused plastic container. This is a great example of sustainable gardening on a budget.

Here I'm showing the successful roots on my Malabar spinach cuttings after propagating them in water. I explain what nodes are and why they are important for propagation.

Part of my propagation series where I plan to turn a plastic cup into a planter for my Malabar spinach once the roots are strong enough. It's all about the 4 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Repurpose.

This is part one of propagating an Umbrella Palm. I show how to take cuttings and place them in a paper cup with water to grow new roots.

A quick video showing the process of repotting my Umbrella Palm into a bigger pot to give it more space to grow.

Here's an easy and cheap 'jugaad' idea for a trellis. I used some old plastic strips and a pipe to create a climbing support for my gourds.

About this collection

Most people think you need expensive pots and tools to start, but that is not true. My secret is following the 4 Rs, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Repurpose. Whether it is turning a leftover coffee cup into a nursery pot or using old plastic strips to build a trellis for your gourds, I show you how to grow real food and lush greens without burning a hole in your pocket.

Gardening is all about learning, experimenting, and sometimes failing. I started on a hostel balcony with limited space and resources, which taught me that you do not need a big yard to have a thriving garden. My approach is to keep things simple, organic, and fun.

My Gardening Approach

  • Propagation Station: Why buy new plants when you can grow them from cuttings? Whether it is turtle vine or Malabar spinach, I show you how to water-propagate so you can expand your plant family for free.
  • The Jugaad Trellis: Climbing vegetables like lauki (bottle gourd) and karela (bitter gourd) need support. You do not need fancy metal structures. I use basic pipes and old plastic strips to create strong, climbing supports that work perfectly on balconies.
  • Plant Revival: Sometimes your plants look droopy and sad. Often, it is just compacted soil. I teach you simple techniques like soil tilling to improve aeration so your green friends can breathe and bounce back.

Troubleshooting & Care

Not everything goes perfectly. Pests like aphids are common, but you do not need harsh chemicals. I prefer using organic methods, like bringing in ladybugs or using neem oil. It is all part of the journey. Join me, get your hands a little messy, and let's make your home the happiest spot on the block. 👩‍🌾
