In my advanced classes, I teach semi-realistic bridal portraits. This design shows a bride's face with delicate shading and expression, a skill that will set your work apart.

Good art takes time and patience. This video shows the careful process of outlining and detailing a bridal figure, a technique I demonstrate live in my classes.

I teach students how to capture stories in their art. This video shows a completed bridal mehndi design featuring a detailed varmala ceremony, a highly requested and advanced figure work technique that we cover in the course.

About Advanced Bridal Figure Work

I focus on anatomy and proportion first. Many students struggle with making figures look realistic because they rush the outline. In my advanced bridal course, we start by mapping out facial features on paper before moving to the skin, ensuring your portraits have clean, defined expressions that stand out in high-resolution wedding photography.

Figure work is often the biggest hurdle for students moving from amateur designs to professional bridal mehndi. It is not just about drawing a face; it is about capturing emotion, jewelry detail, and the specific Varmala or Sindoor rituals that clients demand for their weddings.

In my 60-day advanced training in Bhandup, we break these complex illustrations down into manageable stages. We do not jump straight to hands. We begin with paper practice to master the symmetry of bride and groom faces, including side and 3/4 profiles. Only after you gain control over the pressure of the cone and the stability of your lines do we move to acrylic practice hands. Finally, you progress to live hand demonstrations.

This curriculum covers:

  • Facial Anatomy: Learning the proportions for eyes, nose, and lips to ensure every portrait looks distinct.
  • Ritual Scenes: Mapping out multi-figure compositions like Varmala ceremonies or wedding processions, which require spatial awareness to fit on a palm.
  • Refining Detail: Using shading techniques and fine-line work to add depth to clothing, jewelry, and expressions.

By the end of the course, you will have a portfolio of figures that you can recreate on command. This is exactly what separates a casual hobbyist from a professional bridal artist who can command higher fees. My goal is for you to walk away not just with a certificate, but with the confidence to handle any custom request a bride throws at you.
