Anyone can make a playlist, but I spend my time watching the audience to see who is connecting with a track. When I am at the console, I am looking for that moment when people leave their seats, adjusting the tempo or genre to keep the energy building. Whether it is a 50-person terrace party or a crowd of 1800, my focus remains on building a flow that feels intuitive and real.
For me, the DJ booth is where I am most at home. My style is about blending the right sounds for the specific mood of the night. If you want a nostalgic 80s and 90s disco trip in Mumbai, I dig deep into those classic Pop and Rock tracks. If the room needs high energy, I switch to my Bollytech or Deep House sets, which I often layer with live percussion like Dhol or Conga for a festival feel.
I have played everywhere from intimate house parties to massive gatherings at venues like Chembur Gymkhana. The secret to a great night is not just the gear, though I rely on my Pioneer setup to keep the mix seamless, but how I react to the guests. I am always happy to discuss a 'Must Play' list before the event, but I also leave space to switch tracks on the fly if the energy shifts.
