I bring my own professional Pioneer gear and an offline track library to every gig, which means I am completely independent of the venue's internet connection or system glitches. If the energy in the room shifts, I switch genres instantly—going from high-tempo Bollytech to 90s retro without a single hiccup in the flow.
People often ask if I strictly stick to one genre. The answer is no. A great party needs a flow. I start with commercial hits to get people moving, then gradually bring in deeper sounds like Tech House or Afro House as the night progresses. If your crowd loves the classics, I seamlessly blend those 90s disco hits into modern high-tempo beats.
My Bollytech sets are popular for exactly this reason. It keeps the high-energy Bollywood vocals that people love, but with the steady, driving basslines of electronic music. It is a sound that works just as well at a rooftop sundowner in Vikhroli as it does at a closed-door club night in South Mumbai.
Since I handle the audio setup myself for smaller events, I focus on the sound balance. I make sure the bass hits hard without drowning out the vocals. For larger events, I am used to patching into complex Line Array systems, so I coordinate closely with the venue sound engineers beforehand to ensure we are perfectly synced. My goal is simple: if people are standing at the bar, I am doing my job wrong. I want them on the floor, losing themselves in the beat.
