About Creative Hair Colouring (Balayage, Ombré & Highlights)
Balayage is your best friend if you want that trendy, multi-dimensional look but hate the maintenance of root touch-ups. Since the colour is hand-painted and blended, it grows out naturally, so you won't need to rush back to the chair every few weeks to cover your roots.
If you are confused between a Balayage, Ombré, or simple Highlights, don't worry. Most clients at my Kamla Nagar studio walk in with a Pinterest photo, and we figure out what will actually look good with their skin tone and hair texture.
For Balayage, I use a freehand painting technique to create that seamless, sun-kissed transition. It is perfect if you want depth and movement without the stark line of demarcation. If you want a more dramatic transition, we can look at Ombré, where the hair shifts from a dark root to a lighter end.
Thinking about Highlights? I use foils to place the colour precisely, which is great for adding brightness right around the face. I only use professional-grade products like L'Oréal and Schwarzkopf because the health of your hair is non-negotiable.
