A look into my creative world, where every sketch is a little slice of Mumbai happiness. From bustling streets to quiet corners, see how I capture the soul of our city.

Hi, I'm Divya! Come get a feel for my teaching style in this introduction to my online class. I break down concepts like light and shadow in a simple, jargon-free way to help you bring your illustrations to life. This is how I approach all my workshops, making art accessible and fun for everyone.

This is what urban sketching is all about for me. Seeing something that catches my eye, like this flamingo statue in a Mumbai garden, and capturing its essence on paper. It’s about translating the vibe of a moment into a memory you can hold.

A finished digital illustration of the iconic Jai Shree Krishna Dairy Farm in Dadar. This piece is a tribute to the places in Mumbai that have stood the test of time, a theme I love exploring in my art. It shows how we can turn our city sketches into polished, vibrant artwork.

Here’s a peek into one of our most special workshops: sketching at a Ganpati idol workshop. You can see the massive idols being made in the background and how I translate that powerful scene into my sketchbook using bright, expressive colors. It’s an unforgettable experience.

This is us! A happy group of sketchers after a session at Mindspace Garden. My workshops are all about finding your creative community, a space where you can relax, share, and make art together without any pressure.

A watercolor sketch of Sanjay bhaiya and his bhel puri stall, a fixture from my childhood. Capturing these everyday people and their stories is the heart of my art. It’s these simple, joyful moments that I want to help you see and sketch in your own life.

Holding up my colorful sketch of a beautiful old house in Ranwar village, Bandra. This image shows how I use acrylic markers to capture the unique character and charm of Mumbai's hidden gems, with the real-life inspiration right there in the background.

My digital painting of the historic Bandra Station, created during a heritage festival. This piece blends architectural detail with a soft, atmospheric feel, showing how we can capture the grandeur of city landmarks in our unique style.

About Featured

I do not just sketch buildings, I sketch the people who make them special, like the chai wallahs and vada pav vendors who have been part of our neighborhoods for generations. When you join one of my sketching sessions, we are not chasing perfection. We are just hanging out, soaking up the vibe of places like Ranwar Village or Dadar, and learning how to put that feeling onto paper with simple tools you likely already have.
