Public & Impromptu Speaking Classes for Kids
We help your child find their voice through fun, spontaneous speaking drills and structured presentation practice, moving from shy moments to confident stage presence.
Junior solo presentations in action. Our senior kindergarten students talk about a favorite memory using a photo as a visual aid. This exercise builds early presentation skills, confidence, and the ability to speak in front of peers.
Impromptu speaking doesn't require complex preparation. Here, a student uses a simple blue ribbon as a stimulus to create a spontaneous speech, proving that any object can spark creativity and confident speaking.
A kettle becomes the topic for an impromptu speech. We teach students that inspiration is everywhere, and the challenge of speaking about an unusual object builds mental agility and fluency.
Using a mobile phone as a prompt, this student prepares for an impromptu talk. This exercise is excellent for developing the ability to quickly organize thoughts and speak coherently without a script.
A roller-skate is the subject of this impromptu speaking challenge. By using everyday objects, we make public speaking less intimidating and encourage students to find interesting things to say about anything.
This student uses a toy camera to inspire her impromptu speech. This activity is a cornerstone of our curriculum, designed to build confidence and help students become comfortable speaking spontaneously.
A colorful toy is all that's needed to spark a creative, impromptu talk. We find that the weirder the stimulus, the more it challenges students to think creatively and speak with confidence.
We are incredibly proud to see our students apply their skills in the real world. Here is one of our dedicated learners, Vivaan, handling a CNBC interview with confidence after his team placed 3rd at the World Robotics Competition. This is a testament to how public speaking skills build lifelong self-assurance.
This is what it's all about. One of our students, Maahir, delivering a powerful TED-Ed talk on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our program goes beyond the classroom, empowering children to find their voice, articulate complex ideas, and speak with conviction on platforms that matter.
About Finding Your Voice: Public & Impromptu Speaking
We do not rely on memorized scripts here. Instead, we hand your child a random object—a kettle, a ribbon, or a toy camera—and ask them to build a story on the spot. This exercise forces them to organize their thoughts quickly, manage their nerves, and actually listen to their own voice. By the time they reach our senior batches, they are structuring complex debates and delivering TED-style talks, but it all starts with learning to be comfortable in the awkward, messy moment of having nothing prepared.
How We Build Communication Skills
Public speaking is not just about standing on a stage. It is about logical thinking and clarity. Our curriculum is designed to grow with your child, moving from simple play to technical mastery.
Early Years (Ages 4-7): The Spark At this age, we focus on removing the fear of the spotlight. Through prop-based storytelling and 'Show and Shine' sessions, children learn to use their voice and body language in a safe space. We use games and phonics drills to make diction and pronunciation feel like fun.
Pre-Teens (Ages 8-12): The Technique Here, we introduce the '5 Ps' of public speaking: Pitch, Pace, Pause, Power, and Projection. We move from casual storytelling to technical impromptu speaking. Students practice using random objects as stimuli, which builds mental agility. We also introduce basic debate structures, teaching them how to organize thoughts logically, rebut arguments, and maintain eye contact.
Senior Performance (Ages 13+): The Impact For our older students, the focus shifts to leadership and complex delivery. We integrate Trinity College London requirements (Grades 6-8) with real-world application. Students write original scripts, practice method acting, and prepare TED-style speeches. We cover interview etiquette and technical script formatting, preparing them for platforms that go beyond the classroom.
Why It Works
Our classes at our Juhu center are kept to small cohorts of 8 to 10 students. This ensures that every child gets consistent time to speak and receive feedback. Whether your child is preparing for a formal exam or just wants to be less shy when presenting in school, we provide a space where making mistakes is just another part of the learning process.
Yellow Brick Way
I'm Salonie, founder of Yellow Brick Way. For 15 years, I've watched students walk in shy and leave ready to lead. My approach isn't about memorizing lines, it's about giving them the tools to speak up in any room, whether that’s a school debate or a national television interview.
