This look was for a fashion event where I wanted something that felt both glamorous and modern. I styled this pleated purple saree with a sweetheart neckline bustier, creating a look that’s part gown, part saree.

The details make the look. For this modern purple saree outfit, I used sleek hair clips and long, dangling earrings to complement the contemporary vibe and add a bit of sparkle.

A candid moment showing the beautiful flow and lightness of the saree fabric. Even a traditional silk saree can feel playful and fun when styled the right way.

The pallu is one of the most versatile parts of a saree. Here, I'm showcasing the gorgeous gold pallu of my mom's Kanjivaram. We can use the pallu in so many ways to change the entire feel of the outfit.

A full-length shot that shows how the saree is draped. I kept it classic and elegant to let the vibrant pink and gold colors really shine. This is a timeless look that works for any celebration.

About Modern Saree Draping & Restyling

I don't just drape sarees, I engineer them to move with you. Whether it is a dhoti-style drape that is actually easy to walk in or converting a traditional Kanjivaram into a halter-neck silhouette, I use professional-grade pinning and draping techniques to ensure your look stays crisp for hours. We can do this with your existing wardrobe, saving you from buying something new just for one event.
