This video showcases the versatility of tissue silk sarees. I've styled them in multiple ways, from a classic drape to a modern belted look, showing how one saree can be adapted for different occasions and moods.

About Saree Draping & Styling
It is not just about pinning a saree; it is about proportion, silhouette, and movement. I often work with belts, unique blouses, or statement accessories to transform a standard drape into a look that feels current and effortless. If you are struggling with a specific blouse fit or just want to make a heavy saree easier to carry through a long event, we can solve that together during our fitting session.
Beyond the Classic Drape
Saree styling is about more than just fabric placement. It is about how the garment interacts with your body type and the occasion. Whether you are aiming for a structured, editorial-inspired look for a campaign or a fluid, comfortable style for a friend's wedding, my approach remains the same: we focus on comfort first.
My Process
- Consultation: We discuss the event, the weather, and your comfort level. A saree worn at a summer day function needs a different approach than one styled for a winter evening cocktail.
- Fitting & Details: A great look often fails because of the blouse fit or the petticoat length. I prioritize these technical details to ensure the saree falls exactly how it should.
- Accessorizing: Sometimes the best accessory is a simple belt to cinch the waist, or a specific piece of jewelry to change the vibe from traditional to edgy.
Why Styling Matters
Many of my clients have beautiful sarees sitting in their closets that they rarely wear because they feel 'too heavy' or 'too difficult to manage.' My goal is to change that. I often help clients rethink their existing wardrobe, suggesting new ways to pair blouses or accessories to give old sarees a fresh life. It is not about buying new things; it is about styling what you have so you actually feel excited to wear it again.
