Custom Pooja Mandir Designs for Modern Homes
Designing a serene prayer space in a modern apartment needs smart planning. From backlit CNC jali backdrops to hidden storage for your pooja essentials, I build compact mandirs that blend tradition with contemporary style.
This is a stunning mandir made from Korean marble (solid surface). The intricate CNC cutting, backlit panel, and hanging bells create a truly divine atmosphere.

This mandir unit features a pull-out stool that is completely hidden when not in use. It's a perfect example of combining tradition with smart, space-saving design.
The doors of this mandir are a work of art. The CNC-cut pattern with lotus motifs and small bells adds a traditional touch to the modern design.

About this collection
One common mistake I see is forcing a large temple into a small corner where it blocks movement. Instead, think of vertical space. I often integrate pull-out stools for comfortable seating and hidden drawers for keeping your incense, diyas, and books organized. This keeps the area looking clean and clutter-free, even in a compact apartment setup.
Creating a sacred space at home does not require a separate room. In my experience working on apartments across Noida Extension, the challenge is often balancing storage needs with a clean, aesthetic look.
Smart Design Features:
- Backlit CNC Jali: Using WPC or MDF panels with intricate laser-cut designs allows us to add a traditional touch while letting light pass through for a soft, divine glow. I use warm white LED backlighting behind these panels for that halo effect.
- Hidden Storage: You need a place for oil, cotton, books, and incense. I design units with dedicated drawers and cabinets right below the main platform so your mandir stays organized.
- Space-Saving Seating: For those who prefer sitting while praying, I build custom pull-out stools that slide right into the mandir frame. They stay hidden when not in use, saving you floor space.
- Korean Marble & Solid Surface: If you want a premium look, I use solid surface (Korean marble) for the platform. It is durable, easy to clean, and gives a smooth, high-end finish that fits perfectly with modern living room interiors.
The Process: When I visit your site, we look at the direction and lighting. My goal is to ensure the Mandir is not just a piece of furniture, but a functional part of your home. Whether it is a floating wall-mounted unit or a floor-standing one with extra storage, we make sure the wiring for lights is concealed and the finish matches your existing home decor.
