About Creative & Photoshoot Artistry
For studio shoots, I significantly adjust my base and setting products compared to event makeup. Event makeup has to hold up under sweat and long hours, but studio photography is all about flash calibration. I apply a lighter, more matte-focused base to prevent unwanted reflection, ensuring you look flawless on camera without any heavy or cakey texture.
When you are preparing for a photoshoot, the approach is completely different from a wedding or party. I work with models and couples to execute specific mood boards, whether that means avant-garde graphic liners, delicate pearl accents, or a clean, editorial look that enhances your natural features.
Why Studio Makeup is Different
Studio lighting can be unforgiving. It washes out color and highlights skin texture. I use high-end products from my kit, like Charlotte Tilbury and MAC, to create a base that is specifically optimized for flash photography. I focus heavily on skin prep to ensure that no matter how close the lens gets, the finish remains smooth and radiant.
