Wainscoting Frames and Wallpaper Installation in Bangalore
Classic wall moulding frames paired with customized wallpaper. A sharp, clean way to dress up any accent wall, hallway, or bedroom headboard area.
This is the wall before I started, with the basic wainscoting frames installed and ready for finishing. This shows the first step in preparing the wall for the final wallpaper application.
And here is the after. I filled the frames with a gold and beige marble-effect wallpaper, completely transforming the wall into a luxurious and elegant feature.
For this hallway, I used wainscoting to create vertical panels filled with a soft floral and bird-patterned wallpaper. This brightens the space and adds a classic, decorative touch.
Another angle of the floral wainscoting project, showing how the panels run along the length of the wall. The lower half of the wall features simple vertical paneling for a complete look.
This project features two large framed panels with a subtle leaf-patterned wallpaper. The clean white moulding provides a crisp border, making the wallpaper stand out like framed art.
I created a triptych-style wall feature behind this sofa using three framed panels. The abstract, earthy-toned wallpaper inside adds a modern artistic element to the living room.
This bedroom wall features a combination of plain painted panels and a central panel with a tropical leaf wallpaper. This design serves as a beautiful backdrop for the bedside tables.
About this collection
The real secret to wainscoting isn't just the frames; it is the 45-degree mitre cut at every corner. If those angles are not sharp, the gap will show and the whole design looks cheap. I use high-density polystyrene moulding that resists warping, paired with a bubble-free wallpaper installation inside the grid. This means your panels stay flush against the wall without peeling at the edges, no matter the Bangalore weather.
Precision Installation
Wainscoting is about geometry and getting the spacing symmetrical. I work with HDPS (High-Density Polystyrene) and PU strips. These materials are much better for Bangalore homes than traditional wood frames because they are lightweight, do not expand with humidity, and are termite-proof.
How I Structure the Work
We can design the layout based on your wall size—single boxes for a minimal look or double grids for added depth. Once the moulding is fixed using construction adhesives and micro-nails, I fill every joint with acrylic filler to ensure the frame looks like one solid, seamless piece of trim before painting.
Wallpaper Selection
The wallpaper inside the frames acts as the centerpiece. I have experience with:
- Marble-effect: Great for living rooms to create a premium, stone-like feature.
- Floral and Bird patterns: These work best in hallways or bedrooms to add a soft, classic touch.
- Abstract/Geometric: Good for modern spaces or behind TV units.
Where It Works Best
- Headboards: I often build these frames behind beds to create a structured, luxurious headboard wall without needing heavy furniture.
- Hallways and Staircases: Using vertical paneling or framed sections breaks up long, empty stretches of wall that feel dead otherwise.
- Living Areas: It acts as a permanent piece of art behind your sofa, replacing the need for extra photo frames or wall decor.
Everything I do is focused on the finish. I do not rush the curing process for the adhesives, and I make sure the wallpaper is aligned perfectly within the frame borders.
