About this collection
When I install padded wall panels, my focus is on integration. I make sure switchboards and electrical points are accessible, not buried behind the upholstery, so you get the look of a hotel headboard without losing any wall socket utility.
I use 12mm termite-resistant plywood as the base for all upholstered sections. You can choose from high-density foam in 1-inch to 2-inch thickness depending on how much cushion you want. For the finish, I work with velvet, suede, or leatherette. These materials are chosen because they are durable and easier to clean than standard fabric.
The installation process involves more than just sticking panels to a wall. I use a combination of screws and French cleats to mount the plywood base securely. If you want a tufted look, I do the deep button work or vertical channel stitching by hand to ensure the lines stay straight. I also handle the transition between the padded section and other wall elements, like fluted wood panels or wallpaper borders. Whether it is a full-height headboard or a section behind a desk, the goal is a seamless, professional finish that lasts. I visit homes across Bengaluru and Mysore to measure and install these custom panels.
