Understanding Your Dog: My Force-Free Philosophy
I don't believe in being a 'master.' I believe in being a partner. Here is a look at the science-backed, gentle methods I use to help you build a bond with your dog based on trust, not control.
An infographic explaining key aspects of dog body language, from tail wags to ear positions. Learning to read these signals is the first step to understanding what your dog is trying to tell you.
This graphic highlights the importance of mental stimulation for a balanced dog. I explain how activities like sniffing walks, puzzle toys, and short training sessions create a calm and happy mind.
A step-by-step guide on how to build your dog's focus around distractions. My approach is about connection, not control, starting small and gradually moving to more challenging environments.
This infographic details how to boost a dog's active energy in a positive way. It covers the connection between a strong mind and body, better focus, and the stability that comes from a daily routine.
An important message for pet parents: when a dog ignores you outdoors, it's often sensory overload, not defiance. This graphic explains my compassionate approach to understanding and managing distractions.
This graphic emphasizes that a calm gaze builds a lifetime of trust. I teach pet parents how to use eye contact not for dominance, but for connection and communication.

In this video, I explain some of the most common calming signals dogs use, such as lip licking, yawning, and looking away. Recognizing these helps you understand when your dog is feeling stressed or trying to avoid conflict.
A crucial safety video where I discuss the dangers of heat stroke in dogs. I provide preventative measures, like adjusting walk times and being mindful of certain breeds, to keep your pet safe in hot weather.
This graphic explains how physical exercise helps dogs burn off excess energy and produce serotonin, which contributes to their well-being. A structured exercise routine is key to a calm and happy dog.
About Understanding Your Dog: My Force-Free Philosophy
You aren't the problem, and neither is your dog. Often, what looks like stubbornness—like ignoring you at the park or pulling on the leash—is actually sensory overload. When I work with you, we do not just drill commands. We look at why your dog is reacting, fix the communication gap, and help you regain calm control without a single harsh word.
Why I Don't Use 'Bossing' Tactics
Most people come to me frustrated because they think their dog is being difficult on purpose. In my experience, that is rarely the case. Dogs communicate constantly through body language—from lip licking and yawning to tail position—and when we miss these signals, they feel unheard.
My training philosophy, which I call force-free, is rooted in science. If a dog pulls on the leash or barks, they aren't trying to upset you; they are overwhelmed. My job is to help you decode these moments.
The 'Trained Human' Approach
I often say that every pet deserves a trained human. My sessions are as much about coaching you as they are about training your pup. Whether we are working on recall, anxiety, or loose-leash walking in Pune's bustling streets, I focus on:
- Reading Signals: Teaching you to spot stress before it turns into a reaction.
- Mental Stimulation: Why a tired mind is just as important as tired paws.
- Positive Association: Using rewards to make 'listening' the most fun thing your dog does all day.
Whether you are in Kothrud, Baner, or Bhugaon, my goal is the same: to move away from 'sit, sit, sit' and toward a relationship where your dog chooses to follow your lead because they feel safe and understood. We don't need to shout to be heard. We just need to listen first.
