Pawsitive Tails: Meeting the Dogs I Train in Pune
Every dog here has a unique personality and a story to tell. Whether we are mastering loose-leash walks or exploring trails, I focus on building a bond based on mutual trust.

About Pawsitive Tails: Meet the Dogs I Work With
Notice how the dogs in these photos are calm? That isn't an accident. It’s because I focus on 'sniff-time' and observation during our sessions rather than constant obedience drills. When a dog feels truly understood, they don't need to pull or act out. Whether we are out on an adventure hike or doing a daily neighborhood walk, I let them explore and decompress at their own pace. This helps build the confidence that you see in their eyes.
Building a Relationship, Not Just Obedience
Many pet parents come to me because they are frustrated with 'sit' and 'stay' commands that their dog simply ignores. But here is the truth: your dog isn't being stubborn. They are usually just confused or over-stimulated. When I work with a new pup—whether for daily walking in Baner or an adventure hike in the outskirts of Pune—my first step is always the same: I stop and listen to what they are telling me.
My Approach to Your Dog's Needs
- Force-Free Philosophy: You will never see me yanking a leash or shouting. I use positive reinforcement to guide behavior, ensuring your dog feels safe and respected.
- Confidence Through Exploration: For shy or anxious dogs, I use 'sniffari' walks. Allowing them to engage their nose is the best way to release pent-up energy and reduce stress.
- Coaching the Human: Training is really about you, the parent. I teach you how to read your dog’s body language so you can prevent 'bad' behaviors before they even start.
Why This Works for Pune Pet Parents
Whether you live in Kothrud, Bavdhan, or Wakad, your dog’s environment impacts their mood. If they are bored, they will find their own 'fun'—usually by chewing your shoes or pulling on the leash. My goal is to replace that frustration with a routine that satisfies their mental and physical needs. Tumcha kutra baher aikat nahi ka? (Is your dog not listening outside?) Don't worry, we can fix that by connecting properly, not by controlling them.
