This double-height living space is defined by its connection to the outdoors. Expansive glass walls dissolve the boundary between the interior and the garden, flooding the room with natural light and creating a serene, open atmosphere that embodies our approach to modern residential design.
I designed this residence as a composition of bold, interlocking forms. The cylindrical concrete volumes create a powerful sculptural statement, softened by integrated planters and rooftop greenery that introduce a biophilic element to the modern facade.
I believe transitional spaces should be experiential. Here, an indoor garden is integrated directly into the staircase, transforming the act of moving through the home into a moment of connection with nature. Backlit steps and raw concrete walls complete this serene composition.
The master bathroom is treated as a sanctuary. In this design, dramatic Panda White marble with bold veining forms the dual vanity, contrasted with dark wood walls and minimalist brass fixtures to create a space of sophisticated and luxurious calm.
This bedroom is conceived as a tranquil retreat. A custom curved headboard and suspended pendant lights create a soft, inviting focal point, while the minimalist palette and floor-to-ceiling windows maintain a sense of airiness and connection to the view outside.
A staircase is more than a utility; it is a central sculpture. This design features a dynamic interplay of geometric oak panels and black metal, creating a powerful visual journey between floors that is both functional and artistic.
The facade of the 'Rhapsody of Light' residence uses meticulously designed concrete slats as a privacy screen. This element creates a beautiful play of light and shadow on the interior while referencing traditional design in a contemporary form.

About Residential Architecture & Interior Design

How We Think About Home Design

I see a house as more than walls and a roof - it should feel like it's yours, every day. My approach is to create a space where form, function, and feeling all mix together. It’s the little things - the way light hits a wall, how rooms connect, the textures under your feet - that make a place feel like home.

What You Get With Us

  • I lean towards modern minimalism. Simple, clean lines, nothing too flashy. It’s all about calm and comfort.
  • Whether you’ve got a villa or an apartment, I aim for spaces that last - timeless, not trendy.
  • I love bold, sculptural exteriors using raw concrete, big glass windows, wood, and stone. Screens and slats keep it private but open.
  • Inside, I’m all about open layouts, double-height spaces, and smooth flow. Bedrooms are chill zones, with muted colours and a view outside.

Bringing Nature & Light Inside

  • Indoor-outdoor living spaces are my thing. Floor-to-ceiling glass, balconies, and sit-outs blend your home with nature.
  • I work greenery into the design - rooftop gardens, cozy courtyards, even indoor plants tucked under the stairs.
  • Custom lighting solutions matter. Natural light comes first, with big windows and skylights. After dark, I use layered lighting to highlight the best spots.

What Makes It Special

  • Material choices are key - concrete, marble, wood, black metal. It has to feel right.
  • Staircases and bathrooms aren’t just practical; I treat them like art pieces.
  • Furniture? Always modern, minimalist, and sculptural - it should fit the space, not fight with it.

My Story

Hey, we’re Vivospace Architects - Milana here, Arvind’s my partner. We started this whole thing because, honestly, spaces should feel something, not just look fancy. Awards like iGen Top 50 under 40 and IIA Young Architect of the Year? Cool, but they just remind us why we do what we do. Dream project? A public campus that brings people together. It’s our team, clients, and collaborators who keep us chasing bold, timeless ideas. Architecture’s gotta connect, inspire, and mean something.
