About The Art of the Peacock
When I sketch a peacock, I focus on the balance between the fine lines of the head and the density of the tail feathers. Whether you want a large, bold bird as a centerpiece or a smaller, subtle one tucked into a floral vine, I ensure the motif remains the highlight of your design.
A great peacock design depends on the detail. I specialize in adding intricate fillings to the feathers, creating a textured look that really pops once the color develops. In my experience, many brides worry that the peacock will look like a blob, but with the right line work and shading, it adds real character to your palms. I often combine this with architectural elements like domes or jali patterns to give it a more traditional, rich look, perfect for Marwadi or Jaipuri style weddings. If you are worried about how it will look on your hands, I offer a free home trial anywhere in Bengaluru. We can try a small sample design together, and you can see the color for yourself. I use my own organic henna mix, so I guarantee a dark stain for all my peacock designs.
