Behind the Scenes: My Candid Photography Process in Mumbai
Curious about what it is like to have me as your photographer? Here is a peek at how I work to keep things natural and fun while we capture your story.
This "Point of View" reel shows what a couple's session with me looks like. From directing the poses to showing you the shots on my camera, it's a collaborative and fun process.
About Behind The Scenes: How I Work
During our shoot, I am constantly showing you previews on my camera screen so you know exactly how the shot looks. I do not believe in stiff, static posing. Instead, I guide you with small, natural adjustments like “thoda chin down kar” while we walk and talk, ensuring you feel completely at ease while the camera catches the real you.
How I Capture Your Real Vibe
Many couples come to me worried that they are 'camera shy' or 'awkward.' That is exactly why I do not do traditional, stiff posing. My process is built around keeping the energy high and the pressure low. Whether we are shooting a pre-wedding session in a Navi Mumbai park or covering your Sangeet, my goal is to blend into the background so you can just be yourselves.
My Gear and Approach
When you see those dramatic shots in my gallery, it is usually a mix of my Sony Alpha A7 IV and some quick, creative lighting. For couple portraits, I often use a Godox LC500R light stick to add that extra punch without bringing in a massive, distracting studio setup. This allows us to move fast, catch the golden hour, and keep our 20-minute portrait slots feeling like a fun break rather than a chore.
The Workflow
- Collaboration: I want your input on the concept. If you have a location in Mumbai that means something to your relationship, that is where we should shoot.
- Constant Feedback: You will see your photos as we go. If I like how the light is hitting your face, I will show you right then and there so we can both get excited about the result.
- The 'Motion' Factor: I love capturing natural movement—walking, laughing, or even the messy parts of a Haldi ceremony. It makes your final gallery feel like a movie, not a set of staged passport photos.
Ultimately, my job is to make sure you forget the camera is there. If you are having fun, the photos will take care of themselves.
