Forget rigid rules and perfect lines. My studio is a space where children lead the way, painting their own worlds with everything from giggling crocodiles to Ganeshas made of blueberry ladoos.

A beautiful video montage celebrating the idea that every child is an artist. It shows various children drawing and painting freely, creating imaginative scenes with peacocks, frogs, and rainbows, perfectly capturing the spirit of my classes.

This young artist's drawing of Ganesha on a cart, complete with a bowl of multi-coloured ladoos, is a perfect example of letting imagination lead the way. There are no rules in art, only stories waiting to be told.

A happy group photo from a four-day acrylic painting workshop. I'm surrounded by my students, all proudly holding up their finished canvases featuring a charming stone bridge over a river.

A colourful collage showcasing nine students from an acrylic painting workshop, each with their unique interpretation of a floral landscape. It's wonderful to see how one theme can inspire so many different beautiful outcomes.

A collage of young artists with their paintings of a red cardinal bird in a snowy scene. This was from day one of our acrylics workshop, where they learned about colour blending and composition.

A child's wonderful imagination on display in this jungle scene. An elephant family bathes in a river with fish, while a crocodile, lion, and giraffe coexist peacefully in the background, telling a story of harmony.

Two boys display their landscape drawings, each a unique world. One created a scene with mountains, a house, and butterflies, while the other imagined a vibrant red house with a rainbow overhead.

A young boy proudly holds up his colourful drawing of Lord Ganesha, created with oil pastels. His interpretation features a bright orange Ganesha with a decorative crown and a friendly mouse companion.

This student chose a vibrant blue for his Ganesha, setting it against a warm, sunny background. It’s a wonderful example of how children use colour to express feeling and personality in their art.

A young girl smiles as she presents her Ganesha drawing. She gave her Ganesha large pink ears and a beautiful red garland, showcasing her unique artistic choices in this guided drawing session.

About For Little Hands & Big Imaginations

My approach is process-based rather than performance-based, so I ask students to bring a basic kit including their own sketchbook and oil pastels. This builds a sense of responsibility for their own tools. Once here, I provide the messy, experimental extras like textured papers, craft bits, and professional acrylics, ensuring they focus on their creative flow instead of worrying about the final product.
