Styling Tips For Your Body Type
Stop dressing for trends and start dressing for your proportions. Whether you are petite, tall, or somewhere in between, I help you find the silhouettes that make you look and feel your absolute best.
I often talk about the "one-third" proportion rule, and here's what it means. Visually dividing your body with your clothing into a 1/3 to 2/3 ratio creates a more balanced, elongated, and flattering silhouette.
For all my beautiful tall friends, this one is for you. I'm sharing four of my top styling tips specifically for taller frames, from choosing the right bag size to the most flattering pant lengths.
This is a carousel of wardrobe essentials for petite women. I cover everything from cropped tops and V-necks to high-waisted pants, all chosen to help elongate your frame and create flattering proportions.
About Styling for Your Body Type
The most transformative trick I teach my clients is the one-third proportion rule. Many people unknowingly chop their frame in half, which creates a plain, boxy look. By adjusting where your top meets your bottom, we can visually elongate your legs and create a balanced, flattering silhouette without needing to change your entire wardrobe.
Understanding your body type is not about fitting into a specific category like apple or pear just for the sake of it. It is about understanding your unique vertical and horizontal proportions. When we work together, we stop relying on general fashion rules designed for runways and start focusing on what physically works for your height, bone structure, and skin tone.
Whether you are a petite woman struggling to find the right pant length or someone with a taller frame who feels like current trends do not flatter your proportions, the solution is always in the math of styling. I look at where your waist naturally sits, how your neckline impacts your shoulders, and which accessories balance your overall look.
This process is practical and grounded. We identify your body architecture, look at the colors that brighten your face, and select silhouettes that align with your daily needs. You do not need to overhaul your entire closet to see a change. Often, it is just about tucking a shirt correctly, swapping a belt for a scarf, or picking the right rise in your jeans to make your frame look more balanced. My goal is for you to walk out of our session knowing exactly what to look for when you walk into a store, saving you time and money on clothes that sit in your closet unworn.
