Expert Plant Selection for Your Green Wall
The success of a living wall depends on choosing the right species for your specific light and climate conditions. We curate plants directly from our own nurseries to ensure your green wall is lush, healthy, and built to last.
I help clients choose the best plants for their space and lifestyle. This video highlights five excellent houseplants for beginners, including the resilient Pothos and unique Pilea, which are often used in my indoor vertical gardens.
Having my own nursery gives me access to a wide variety of healthy, high-quality plants. This video shows some of the vibrant Croton and flowering Bougainvillea plants I cultivate, ready to be used in landscape and vertical garden projects.
About Plant Selection & Expertise
The biggest risk in vertical gardening is installing plants that haven't been acclimated to your indoor light conditions. We don't just source plants; we cultivate them in our own greenhouses. Before we finalize your wall, we assess your space's specific exposure to ensure we select resilient varieties like Pothos, Syngonium, or exotic foliage that will thrive rather than just survive in your environment.
Our Approach to Plant Selection
A vertical garden is a complex living system, not just a decorative wall. When we select plants for your project, we look at three critical factors: light availability, humidity, and airflow. We categorize plants into three distinct palettes to ensure the long-term health of your wall:
- The Hardy Mix: Perfect for beginners and standard installations, featuring resilient, air-purifying plants like Golden Pothos and Green Syngonium that require minimal intervention.
- The Exotic Patterned Range: For clients looking for visual impact, we use colorful varieties like Red Alternanthera, Wandering Jew, and variegated Crotons. These require precise irrigation zones and specific nutrient feeding to maintain their vibrancy.
- The Low-Light Solution: In windowless rooms or office boardrooms, we often integrate high-quality artificial green wall panels that mimic tropical foliage, providing the green aesthetic without the need for photosynthesis.
The Nursery Advantage
Because we operate our own nurseries, we have total control over the plant lifecycle. We use lightweight, soilless media—typically a blend of coco-peat, perlite, and vermicompost—to reduce the structural load on your walls. This prevents the common issue of soil compression and root rot often seen in poorly designed systems.
We also manage the irrigation zoning carefully. Each of our bio-walls is fitted with 16mm inline drip irrigation pipes to ensure water reaches the roots evenly, preventing the 'top-heavy' dehydration common in amateur vertical garden setups. Whether you are transforming a balcony in Gurgaon or installing a grand feature in a farmhouse, we bring the same technical rigor to every installation.
